Event Porta Potty Rental

Sizing is the whole job. A rough working rule for events: one standard unit per 50–75 guests for a gathering under four hours, then add capacity as hours climb, and add more again when beer or wine is served, because usage roughly doubles. A 100-person graduation open house in Strathmore or Sedgwick running noon to six is usually two units, not one. A 400-person block party in Eastwood with a keg and a band until 10 p.m. is a bank of six or more, plus a hand wash station near the food line. If you want an ADA-accessible unit — and public events, church festivals, and anything ticketed generally should have at least one — say so at booking, because those units are placed differently: firm, level ground with a clear straight approach, no curb lip, no gravel lip.

Placement decides whether the day goes smoothly. We need a path the truck can actually take: roughly 12 feet of width, 13 feet of overhead clearance, and ground that won't rut. Backyard events in Westcott, Tipperary Hill, and Hawley-Green often mean a narrow driveway or a shared alley, so tell us on the phone and we'll plan the drop — sometimes that means setting the unit at the driveway apron instead of the back lawn. Walk the spot before delivery day and pick a location downwind of food, out of photo sightlines, and off soft turf. For anything at Onondaga Lake Park, Thornden Park, Burnet Park, Clinton Square, Franklin Square, or the New York State Fairgrounds, confirm with the park office or venue where portable units are allowed and whether your permit covers them — venue rules govern the exact pad, and we'll place to whatever they approve.

Event rental versus a construction rental comes down to duration and servicing. Event units are priced for a weekend, delivered clean, and pulled right after — no service visit in between, which is fine for a one-day party and not fine for anything running a full week. If your festival, tournament, or fair run stretches past two or three days with heavy traffic, you want mid-event servicing scheduled, and that's quoted separately. A monthly construction rental is cheaper per day but assumes a fixed jobsite and a routine service schedule, so it's the wrong fit for a Saturday wedding. Season matters here more than most markets. Syracuse University commencement in mid-May, high school graduations in June, and the Great New York State Fair stretch into Labor Day are the three crunch windows — those weekends get committed early, and late calls get whatever's left. Spring events on soft ground near the lakefront or in the Valley can mean plywood under the unit. Late-fall and winter events get discussed differently: cold-weather placement, wind exposure, and where the truck can safely reach after a lake-effect snowfall. Every quote we send has the delivery date, the pickup date, and the total on it — nothing appears on the invoice that wasn't on the quote.
